Cranking out Christmas Cards

Where has this year gone?  I made a promise to myself to make my cards this year so I have been slipping in some time for a little card therapy.  For my first card I used those cute Yeti's is from MFT Stamps  Beast Friends which is an adorable stamp set.  I used the The Stamp Doctors Card in a box Die to make the box card. I wish you could really see how shiny and bright this card is.  Fun little box and so easy to make especially with the dies.

I LOVE this moose stamp  from Whimsy Stamps.  I needed a masculine card and this stamp was the
perfect choice. The background wood stamp made the card pop. I also used the Notched Rectangle Dies from Whimsy Stamps. The pine needles and cone are from Sunny Studios.

Winter

I just got my order from Lawn Fawn and must say the Shadow Box Mountain add on is a must have.  I enjoyed playing around with this die set, nice therapy after a grueling past week and weekend.  Just wanted to share my little creation.

Twix or Treat!

I have been really lax about posting, too much going on and this has a lower priority than what I have been dealing with I guess.  I have been keeping up with new releases and am in love with the new release from The Greetery.  They have come out with such stinkin' cute stamps and dies and the design team is over the top!  They even have a Look Book with adorable creations to inspire you or me in this case.  I immediately had order their Candy Pop dies and the Christmas Care-A-Van stamp and die, which I wasted no time in playing with.   I decided I was going to make Halloween treats for the grand kids.  I played around making the bubbles deep enough to fit a Twix bar in.  The die actually goes through foam board I got from the local DollarTree.  I ended up adding 2 foam middles and it fit perfectly. I can see I am going to have tons of fun with these dies and no I am not getting paid any commissions to plug them, I just love them that much and wanted to share.  Hope you have a Happy Halloween!

Friends

I think I am a sucker for pink, black and green combo. I love that combination.  I saw some really adorable cards made with the Fabulous Flamingo stamps from Sunny Studio Stamps.  I also used the palm tree from Seasonal Trees stamp set.  The card design is from a tutorial at StampingBella. Hope you like it.

The base warped because I used a brayer on it and it apparently shrunk when it dried, will try again without using the brayer.

Cherries anyone?

I can't resist a good deal especially when it is an adorable stamp and since Stamping Bella was offering 25% off this cute chick I had to get it.  The sale is only for the month of March so if you love this little Cherry Chick you need to go grab it.  I really love all their chicks. Thanks for stopping by!

Hear me Roar!

I have had this set for sometime now and have no idea why I haven't touched it until now.  I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these adorable little guys. After I colored them I decided I would just go ahead and use the same paper for all of them and challenge myself to get a theme going. These Loveable Leopards  make the cutest little cards don't you think? They are from My Favorite Things.

                                                               Have an awesome day!

What's inside the Bunny Box?

Yay! I finally finished my bunny box made from The Stamp Doctor's A2 Box for Cards.  It seems I am always making cards that are too thick to fit in an envelope and this box is perfect for those fat cards.  It also can be used for Easter Treats (which I haven't bought yet).  I used the Nested Oval Dies and the Stitched Nested Oval Dies to cut the window from The Stamp Doctor's Paper Pack Easter#1 paper, then cut out a bunny from the Bear-Bunny Paper Piecing Dies.  I decided to have the Bunny looking into the box so I didn't use all the pieces that come with this versatile die. The grass is from the Grass Tops Die and I cut out eggs from the same Paper Pack Easter#1 set. The heart swag on top is from La-la Land Crafts called the Heart Garland Die. Fun little box that I definitely will use tons!  Thanks for dropping by, happy crafting!

Clean Kitty

I finally got around to playing with my March La-La Land Crafts Club kit.  Poor kitty got stuck in the washer and I think his friend thinks it is a purr-fect place for him.  Love the dies in this kit, I know it is hard to tell but the washer door is popped out like the newer models with a shaker bubble. Have a crafty weekend!

Happy Egg Hunting

With Easter right around the corner I thought I would hop to it and make an Easter card.  Now that I am done I am craving chocolate.....wouldn't you know.  Almost everything I used is from The Stamp Doctor.  The paper is from the Paper Pack Easter #1, on the cover I used the Large Chocolate Bunnies Die, the Grass Tops Die, the Nested Oval Dies#1 and the Stitched Oval Nested Dies#1. The bunny inside is made using the Bear Paper Piecing Die and the Bunny Add-On Die. Grass is from the Egg Carton CIB Add-On Dies and the inside I used the Nested and Stitched Oval Dies again.  It was a very therapeutic morning for me :)  Hope your day is going well too!

Free Hugs

I usually do not do cactus cards just because I have lived around cactus my whole life and I would rather fantasize about pine trees but I loved how these oval dies from The Stamp Doctor, which I recessed, made this cacti card look.  Just a simple card but I like how it turned out. If you end up hugging a cactus, watch out for the pokies!

Have a great Day ya'll!

Flip Flopping

I bet you thought I was talking about the type you wear on your feet but nope I am referring to The Stamp Doctor's Flip Flop Card Die #2.  I watched a video tutorial on you tube for this card and decided I had to try it. Very easy to follow tutorial and she offers great tips along the way. To accent the card I used the Simple Sentiments Stamps, the ZigZag Border Die and The Tags #1 Stitched Die.
The flowers are from Happy Day Stamps and leaves are from the very versatile No See All Seasons Tree Die Set from Whimsy Stamps. LOL I just noticed my musical notes are upside down.....Ishkabibble as I always tell my grand kids.  Thanks for stopping by!

I am on a Roll at the Farm

With the weather being beautiful, in the 70-80 degree range, I guess I have farm stuff on the brain! We have chickens and cows so these were right down my alley. I should have put a dog stealing an egg since one of our dogs (or both) seem to have found out where the hens are laying.  Their coats seem to be much healthier with all the protein they are consuming.  I have been having a blast playing with all the farm sets I have so I decided I would post all three cards in one post.  I used the  A2 Card in a box#2 from The Stamp Doctor for this happy birthday card box, the stamp set is From the Herd by La-La Land Crafts.  The second card is also using From the Herd by La-la Land Crafts.
On the third card I used Best of Cluck from Sugar Pea Designs.  This one reminded me of the dogs because of the little cracked egg. It "cracked" me up.  Hope you enjoyed these farm cards as much as I did making them! Sunshine to you all!

Unicorn

I have had this cute unicorn paper for quite a while now and wanted to make something with it but nothing sparked me until I saw this cute little unicorn from Paper Smooches.  The set is called Spectrum and the unicorn is adorable. Just wondering if there is such a thing as a gray dapple unicorn. I was able to top it off with La-La Land Crafts Flag Banner Die which I love.  Yes I know I love every die I have :). I love all the magical sparkle and hope you do too. Thanks for checking it out.

Cat's Life

I have been wanting to play with two different dies from The Stamp Doctor but just wasn't sure what I wanted to do.  I joined La-La Land Crafts Club and received and adorable set that happened to have cats in it and it hit me what I could make.  The first die is an A2 Card in a Box#2 and the second is Cat's life.  I pulled a little cat from the La-La Land Crafts set, went to coloring and even though I had a hundred interruptions from the grans kids I was able to finish.  Hope you like it, it was fun like a cat's meow!

Adorable Paper

These NEW papers from The Stamp Doctor are adorable and just in time for Easter.  Go check them out here.

Love how bright and cheery they are!

Scootin Newton

What a fun little cat to color. He is from the collection at Newton's Nook Designs.  This little set is called Newton Scoots By, not only is the cat adorable but the sentiments are cute too.  I used the Scalloped Border Dies, which comes in a set of three, from The Stamp Doctor on the top of the card.

Oh Buoy and calves!

Today started out crazy with one of our calves getting out into the property next door.  I chased him from one end of the field to the other and he finally went under the fence where the guide wire was missing.  As I was "sewing" the fence with baling wire up walks Jenn and Miss Boo.  Being the good friend she is, she jumped right in and started "sewing" too. After we finished and went our separate way, she went over and took a picture of our new bull calf born yesterday.  She got a great shot! Thanks my friend, and Boo thanks for picking up all the "bubble gum".

All the running and frustration must have inspired some creativity in me so I came in and made this card using the Ahoy, Matey! Clear Stamps from Whimsy Stamps along with my new FAVORITE Kinetic-Straight-Waves-Die also from Whimsy Stamps.  This Die set is AWESOME. It is designed to give you 5 different waves along with three cute little star fish. I felt so much better after I played....lol.

Enjoy your Day!

Dino-mite

I had a little time this morning before the hustle and bustle of carpooling grand kids around and decided I needed to go play with my new Dinosaur Friends clear stamp from Whimsy Stamps.  I love these adorable little guys, their expressions are just too cute and the sentiments are perfect.. I used the Tri-Fold Shutter Card Die and the Tri-Fold Shutter Card Layers #2 from The Stamp Doctor which made making this card so much easier. The layers are all pre-measured and took no time to cut out. The grass is from an Egg Carton CIB Add-On Die and I needed clouds but didn't have any handy so I used a die from the Tags#1 Stitched die set. I love the blues and greens together and the orange just made it pop. Hope you try one out, I enjoyed my therapy session making this card:).

Hope you have a great day and thanks for dropping by!

Lollipops

Yesterday I was sick and had no desire to do anything but sleep so that is what I did.  When I woke up today I felt so much better that I wanted to play with my new die from The Stamp Doctor.  I made this little Lollipop Holder and used the cute little Spike Monster to dress it up.  On the back I used the XO Die. This is such a simple fast little gift, I wish I had it before Valentine's Day, I would have made some up for the grand kids classes.  I guess there is always next year.

Fun Day!

My daughter's in-laws are in town and her mother-in-law Mary is a crafter also so Jenn agreed to give a little impromptu class on coloring with Copic markers.  She taught techniques and blending skills on these adorable images by Lee Holland. What started out to be just a few hours of playing turned into a whole day (sorry Kirk).  I can't thank Jenn enough for putting everything together, everyone's cards turned out adorable and we all had fun laughing and learning.

You can find these digitals and more on Lee's Etsy site HERE.

This little card is one I made some time ago and never posted so I thought I would share him with you, my grandson loves foxes but I never gave it to him.  Wished the sentiment said Hello, little foxy one instead.  If I remember right the fox was from a Sugar Pea collection.

Hope you all are inspired to go create something fun!
