Oh Buoy and calves!

Today started out crazy with one of our calves getting out into the property next door.  I chased him from one end of the field to the other and he finally went under the fence where the guide wire was missing.  As I was "sewing" the fence with baling wire up walks Jenn and Miss Boo.  Being the good friend she is, she jumped right in and started "sewing" too. After we finished and went our separate way, she went over and took a picture of our new bull calf born yesterday.  She got a great shot! Thanks my friend, and Boo thanks for picking up all the "bubble gum".

All the running and frustration must have inspired some creativity in me so I came in and made this card using the Ahoy, Matey! Clear Stamps from Whimsy Stamps along with my new FAVORITE Kinetic-Straight-Waves-Die also from Whimsy Stamps.  This Die set is AWESOME. It is designed to give you 5 different waves along with three cute little star fish. I felt so much better after I played....lol.

Enjoy your Day!

Dino-mite

I had a little time this morning before the hustle and bustle of carpooling grand kids around and decided I needed to go play with my new Dinosaur Friends clear stamp from Whimsy Stamps.  I love these adorable little guys, their expressions are just too cute and the sentiments are perfect.. I used the Tri-Fold Shutter Card Die and the Tri-Fold Shutter Card Layers #2 from The Stamp Doctor which made making this card so much easier. The layers are all pre-measured and took no time to cut out. The grass is from an Egg Carton CIB Add-On Die and I needed clouds but didn't have any handy so I used a die from the Tags#1 Stitched die set. I love the blues and greens together and the orange just made it pop. Hope you try one out, I enjoyed my therapy session making this card:).

Hope you have a great day and thanks for dropping by!

Lollipops

Yesterday I was sick and had no desire to do anything but sleep so that is what I did.  When I woke up today I felt so much better that I wanted to play with my new die from The Stamp Doctor.  I made this little Lollipop Holder and used the cute little Spike Monster to dress it up.  On the back I used the XO Die. This is such a simple fast little gift, I wish I had it before Valentine's Day, I would have made some up for the grand kids classes.  I guess there is always next year.

Fun Day!

My daughter's in-laws are in town and her mother-in-law Mary is a crafter also so Jenn agreed to give a little impromptu class on coloring with Copic markers.  She taught techniques and blending skills on these adorable images by Lee Holland. What started out to be just a few hours of playing turned into a whole day (sorry Kirk).  I can't thank Jenn enough for putting everything together, everyone's cards turned out adorable and we all had fun laughing and learning.

You can find these digitals and more on Lee's Etsy site HERE.

This little card is one I made some time ago and never posted so I thought I would share him with you, my grandson loves foxes but I never gave it to him.  Wished the sentiment said Hello, little foxy one instead.  If I remember right the fox was from a Sugar Pea collection.

Hope you all are inspired to go create something fun!

Squirrel Knocked Out

Oh my, the cluster of golden apples fell and hit the squirrel right on the noggin!  They were not supposed to fall before I snapped the picture and I didn't notice it until I was editing the picture. Oh well, that is a little squirrel that comes in the No-See All Season Tree Die from Whimsey Stamps.  I love all the accessories that come with this die set. I know it says No-See, but this one you do see because I used the Kinetic Straight Basics Die set with it..  The tree fell in the second card and the little squirrel runs back and forth on the fallen tree. This one is a No-See using the same All Seasons Tree Die set and I did use the No-See Kinetic Basics Die set with it.  I loved playing with these dies, they were so easy to use and went together pretty fast.

Nutty For You

Tomorrow is Valentine's Day so I decided yesterday while I was sitting in the dentist chair having my teeth drilled on that my Hubby would get a acorn card in pink .  Why that came to me then is a good question that I do not have an answer too.  Here is my card for him because after 45 years of marriage I am still nutty for him.

I hand cut the acorn but the scalloped strips on the acorn are the Scalloped Border Die from The Stamp Doctor, the squirrels are from Lawn Fawn , sentiment bubble is from La-La Land and the sentiment is from CC Designs.  I even found little acorns at the store in the parking lot, lucky me.  Have a great creative day!

Woof Woof

The Stamp Doctor released a new Bear-Bunny Paper Piecing Die and as I was playing with it all I kept seeing was a puppy.  Couldn't help it had to make a pup out of it to go with my Dog Paw Dies.  I did end up making a bear and a bunny too.  Fun little die to play with and so many ideas.

I love how versatile the little pieces are and it goes together pretty fast. There is even a little bow that goes with it too. Thanks for stopping by!

What's the Buzz

This bee hive from Whimsy Stamps was calling to me in blue. I love how easy it was to color, the bee's and sentiments add just the right touch. I don't know what it is about bee sets but I love them and I am not a fan of honey :)

Play Day

What a great day, I was able to have a play day with two of my most favorite friends, Jenn and Vickie.  Vickie and I fell in love with Jenn's card and she offered to help us build our own.  We used the Center Pop Out Die and the Scalloped Border Dies from The Stamp Doctor and the beautiful Sunflower Rubber Cling Stamp from Whimsey Stamps  I was amazed at how easy the sunflower is to color. Vickie and I were able to color it in no time, of course we had an excellent teacher :).

I truly enjoyed making this card and may just make another.  Thanks Jenn and Vickie for a very therapeutic day!

Doggone Dog

I just got this stamp and die combo called Doggone Dog from The Stamp Doctor.  The sentiments are quirky which I love, they seem to describe me lately.  I love the play on words with the Yappy Birthday. There is even a complimenting die which is Dog Paw Prints that would work well with this set. This was a quick and fun card to make.

The Stamp Doctor Therapy

Our family celebrates birthday's on Sunday's with the birthday boy or girl getting to choose their
favorite meal and cake.  This Sunday we are celebrating my daughter and grandson's birthday
with roast, rice and gravy and hot dogs. What a combo!

I made this card for my daughter and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this Center Pop Out Die from
TheStampDoctor . There are step by step videos to help you with this die and many more. I
also used TSD grass, flower and leaf dies. The bee stamp is Bee Friends by Pretty Pink Posh.

This is my grandson's card and once again I used a combination stamp and die set from
TheStampDoctor.  This is the Spike Monster Stamp and Die which just came yesterday
so I was excited to try it out.  The card I made is an in and out card, the monster on the first page
is actually popped up on the second page but pops out the die cut area on the front of the card.
I used a video on YouTube by Jennifer McGuire. She has some great videos also. It is a trifold card
card so I put the sentiment and little Spike on the third page.  I had a blast playing and hope you give it a try!
