More Fun stuff

These are the cards we made Wednesday. The 1st one was Carolyn's card. I love the colors on this card. The paper is basic grey and I believe the stamp is a retired SU! stamp.

Sam came up with this "Bad Hair Day" card. I am a huge fan of pink & black color combo. The paper is TAC and I think she picked the stamp set up at the Stamp convention that was in town the early part of March.

I wasn't too excited at how the card I made turned out. I used SU! Pixie Pink and Apricot Appeal paper, the dots cuttlebug background and a SAB set. I cased Dawn's card for the scallop frosting, used dazzling diamonds and stickles.
This is Vicky's card. Not sure who's stamp....she was in a fall mood when she made this. I changed her card up just a tad. Thanks Vic!

I made this layout using Misty Cato's flowers, frame is Shabby Princess and the word art is Bethany's from Elegant word art.
I can't remember where I got the paper from....sorry I didn't write it down for some reason. I must say I can't get enough of this crazy digital stuff!
Hope you have a great weekend.

Variety

I hope you had a wonderful Easter. I had such a great weekend. I was able to see all 5 of my grand kids. I love how different each of their personalities are. I know I have been away from my blog for a while so I am going to try & make up for it in this post. I was lucky to see all my stamping friends at a little gathering at my upline Diane's house last Wednesday. We had a great time visiting & eating yummy food. Laura who went back to work at a school was on spring
break was there and she brought each one of us a cute little carrot filled with goodies. I copied her idea and made my grand kids one too, They loved them! Thanks Laura.

My friend Vicky who has only been stamping for a very short time( maybe 3 months) made the regular Wednesday girls each a basket from a tutorial she found thru SCS I believe. Pretty wonderful for such a newbie! Thanks Vicky!!!!
This little card which is like a tag. Sam got the idea to use Cambria's envelope basket for her template but she used cardstock instead of an envy

Carolyn came up with this card. I love how she brings masculine cards into our mix. I always have some on hand thanks to her. I really like how this card turned out. Thank you Carolyn!

I cased this idea from Dawn. She ALWAYS has the best video tutorials & really cute ideas. The pocket card is really an envelope. A fun little quick pick me up card for a friend! Thanks Dawn.

OK, this is what has been keeping me away. Jessica Sprague has a class called"Up and Running" for those of us who haven't the slightest idea of how to play with Photoshop Elements. I can honestly say I didn't think I was capable of doing a layout using digital supplies. Jessica makes learning so fun and easy and her website is set up in such a way that help is right there at your fingertips ....LITERALLY. I have enjoyed myself so much I am definitely taking her classes from now on. You have access to video tutorials, printable instructions, forums, galleries, you name it. If you have ever toyed with the idea of wanting to learn Photoshop, I promise she can help you do it. I am not being paid to say these things either. This comes from the bottom of my heart. You will love it! OK enough said on that. I made the top page from an alphabet by KPertiet and the papers, brushes, grid & instructions of Jessica Sprague.

This page is using the same grid & brushes that Jessica supplied. The paper is from ShabbyPrincess and the flowers and alphabet are from Ellie Lash at Sunshine Studio Scraps.
I now have started on a journey to document my travel thru life with this new found love.
Yes I admit I am an obsessive, compulsive personality when it comes to stamping, digi scrapping and GINGERBREAD.......cupcakes are sneaking in there too!
Hopefully it won't be so long in between now!

Easter Treat

I loved all the egg boxes at PaperTreyInk so naturally I had to get some. When I saw the box made by Lauren Meader I had an idea of a garden of carrots. This is my little garden. I took her idea a little farther by punching two small holes in the scallop circle and running green raffia thru it to make the top of the carrot green. Thanks for stopping by! I am off to stamp with my group!

Pink whiskerless bunny

I noticed after I had this uploaded that I forgot the whiskers and there is glue around the eyes, no white dots in either the pink or the blue eyes. I think I am running around like a crazy person & not finishing things. I am going to have to slow down and smell the roses! I made this little pink treat for my DGD. I ran it through the cuttlebug and like how it turned out. More depth to it.

This is another xmas gift from DH & DD but I needed to learn what I was doing before I tried to attempt it. This is a class from Jessica Sprague's Layout walkthrough series. I figured since today is my oldest DGS's birthday I would do him a page and email it to him since he now lives 2 hours North of here. He was down Sunday and though he would be funny and stick his face in his birthday cake. I can't believe how fast they grow. Happy Birthday Code-Man.

Where did the week go?

I finally got around to playing in my room. I found this adorable tutorial from Dawn. If you haven't checked her out you really are missing tons of great ideas. She has the best tutorials. Anyway I did make mine just a tad different cuz the only candy I had was sixlets. I made pockets that are 3" x 8", scored at 3 7/8 and 4 1/8 . Then I scored then at 1/2 along both sides of the long side. I snipped the tiny score makes on each side so the flap would fold in. Glued the side folds together and had a pouch for the sixlets. The rest was copied from Dawn. I did use a $1 stamp from Michael's for the sentiment.

As you can see I have been busy with my class with Jessica Sprague . This is our assignment for today. I am amazed at how much I have learned and I haven't even scratched the surface I am sure. It is addicting though....as if I need another addiction.

This was a mid week assignment & I chose to work with a picture of my MIL's hands that my SIL Debbie took. Debbie has a great sense for taking great pictures. She was kind enough to send me a copy so I could scrap it. Thanks Deb!
Hope to play tons this week. Thanks for peeking in.

Digi Pages

My oldest daughter & DH are responsible for my house not getting cleaned! I didn't have plans on my own to start another venture into computerland but between them ....here I am and I don't care that my house needs cleaning. They have created a monster. I have played this morning with different "toys" and this is what I came up with. Jessica Sprague has given me just enough instuctions to test the waters. My DD has informed me it is just the beginning to a love relationship with digiscrappin.

Flower card

I found this flower on the Cricut cartridge "Tags, Bags and More". If you use the mirror image, it will come out like a card. I cut 2 different mats using the next 2 sizes and then used the scallop circle from Mini Monograms. The scallop is at 5 1/2. I ran the scallop and the front of the flower through the Cuttlebug with the dots folder. The sentiment is from PaperTreyInk Just Hatched and the inside is Faux Ribbons. I picked up the primas & curly ribbon(which curls all by itself) from just4funcrafts.com (don't forget your susave5% discount code).

Have a terrific Tuesday!

First digi-scrap page

My DH gave me a class with Jessica Sprague for Christmas. My class started today and this is my first layout. It took me all day to do this but I guess old dogs can learn new tricks. LOL The verdict is still out on how I am going to like this but I have learned some pretty cool tricks already. I promise I do have a card to post also....just have to get it uploaded.
