I have not been very active with doing much of anything lately but hopefully with spring here and everything blooming I am going to try to get back in the swing of doing creative things once again. I made this page using FREEBIES!!!!! Love freebies, especially cute ones and I have picked up some great ones from Kimeric Kreations (the cute cluster used on this page), Little Green Frog Designs (the fabulous template) and Boutique Cute Dolls ( papers and some elements). Every year my daughter weaves a maze of yarn all through the house for her 3 boys to find their Easter baskets, this year we had 5 grand kids with baskets to find so needless to say there was a HUGE MAZE of yarn woven throughout. It was really fun watching them crisscross each other as they unraveled the mystery of the hidden baskets.
It was a great start to a wonderful Easter. Hope yours was as wonderful.

Basket fun
I finally decided to get off my rear and make something and this is what I came up with. I forgot I had this die for the basket. I found a tutorial for this cute little box here made some flowers from an old dictionary I have. The bow is cased from some I have seen on Pinterest. I really enjoyed doing this and now will probably make some for the grand kids teachers. Til next time, smile and enjoy life!

Fun times
I had a birthday party for DH and made a small fruit display for him, some friends that came saw the fruit and made a comment that their daughter was getting married in 2 weeks and they were looking for some sort of fruit and veggie appetizers for their guest while pictures were being taken....a big Hint, Hint...LOL. I asked my DD if she could manage to miss a few hours of work to help me assemble one for them .
Here is the finished display for their wedding. What's funny is we just do it for fun and my daughter keeps saying we should go into business making them for weddings, problem is she works full time and it takes me about 8 hours to buy and prep for it and by the time it is done my feet and back are killing me so I think we will just keep it at a fun level. Hope you all having a great day!

Where's Waldo
We went to the snow on Sunday so the kids could ride inner tubes down Oak Hill in Parks, Az. My daughter wanted her family pictures taken up there so we did and my son decided that he should pop out in her pictures wearing the Waldo shirt he got for Christmas. That was the start of many pictures to come with the Waldo shirt. Our SIL also received a Waldo shirt and since they live in Utah, they have been informed they need to match the silliness and take pictures in the Waldo shirt when ever they take a trip so we can start the Where's Waldo album.
We had a great time tubing and having a hamburger and hot dog cook out. The hot chocolate warmed the kids up enough to get them back on the slopes for a second round of being bounced off their tubes.

Farm Theme Baby Shower
We had a baby shower for the newest grandson today, my SIL made this adorable farm cake that was yummy. The top layer was white with lemon filling with the bottom being chocolate with banana filling.
We made a mini fruit display and since we had a farm theme my youngest daughter carved the little pig on top from a mini watermelon.
The centerpiece was a redneck farm diaper cake. Below we had tractor wheels (oreo cookies), chicken scratch (Christmas crack aka addiction) and pretzel turtles to snack on. There were antipasto skewers, mexican haystacks and nacho & cheese to munch on. Several of the ideas were Pinterest steals. Everyone blessed our new little one with wonderful gifts. Thank you ALL!

Mother's Day Gift
Just thought I'd share my Mother's Day surprise. We went to a wedding about 2 years ago and I made a comment about how I would love to have a vine covered walkway like we saw at this wedding. My DH remembered that and built this one for me for Mother's Day. We have since planted vines and they are SLOWLY starting to grow. It doesn't help with temps being in the 107-109 range. Poor plants.
Just a update on the garden, it is producing yummy veggies, keeping our pantry and frig stocked. I am sure the weather will take over soon. Hope you are all well and I am going to try and do some cards and pages soon. Hope you summer is going well!
