Babies

This baby was born this morning.....haven't checked to see if we have a little heifer or bull calf though.
Same baby standing for the first time....very wobbly and momma seems pleased.
The white face cow laying down is in labor....poor baby. I had to quit watching her cuz I was getting light headed holding my breath & pushing for her...LOL. (scary but true)
My niece is expecting in May & her shower is this weekend so I made her a bouquet from baby wash clothes and receiving blankets.

Wow time flies, I haven't posted in ages....I guess life took over. Have a great day!

2011 Fireplace

I finally managed to get the fireplace done, I have been pulling stuff out & trying to get all my gingerbread kids out and about and decided to take a break from them & work on the fireplace. My grand kids will be home today and i wanted to be all done for them.....maybe I will finish tomorrow. Hope your Christmas season is the best ever. Merry Christmas everyone!!!

Another fruit display

Back in June, I posted the fruit display Brandy and I made for our friends daughter's wedding. At that wedding a lady approached me and asked if we did these commercially, I explained we just do them for friends, family and church events. She seemed disappointed and mentioned her 70th birthday was coming up and she was going to throw herself a party and was so hoping we would do one for her. How can you turn down someone who is going to be celebrating her 70th.......so here is her fruit display. Her party was a hit & she invited hubby & I to stay and since we knew other couples there we did. We ended up sitting and talking until 1:40 in the morning, my cheeks hurt so bad from laughing. I am so glad we didn't pass up the opportunity to make some great new friends.

Football Season!

I actually made a card.....and some older ones I made.

This card is one I made awhile ago.....just never posted My friend Jenn has inspired me to get back into making a few cards. Not sure how long it will last.

This one is actually one I made recently, the picture doesn't show that the 2 leaves are actually 3D and popped up off the page. I am so rusty when it come to coloring. Maybe I will get the hang of it ....kinda like riding a bicycle........Maybe!!


Who knows maybe I will even get in the habit of posting again......no promise or threat (however you might take that comment) LOL.. Happy crafting and happy thoughts!

Elk

We were fortunate to get a glimpse of this herd of Elk up by Big Lake. They were pretty amazing. We watched them for about 10 minutes until a noisy truck turned onto the road we were on. The truck ended up turning around but it was so noisy the herd jumped a fence and headed the opposite direction. We also saw deer, muskrat, 2 snakes, ducks, caught some fish and a coyote(we didn't catch the coyote....just the fish) on our trip in and around Greer.
