Elk

We were fortunate to get a glimpse of this herd of Elk up by Big Lake. They were pretty amazing. We watched them for about 10 minutes until a noisy truck turned onto the road we were on. The truck ended up turning around but it was so noisy the herd jumped a fence and headed the opposite direction. We also saw deer, muskrat, 2 snakes, ducks, caught some fish and a coyote(we didn't catch the coyote....just the fish) on our trip in and around Greer.

Squirrel with high cholesterol

My SIL and I had fun photographing this crazy squirrel who came right up to us. I guess he figured if we were going to feed him we must be OK. We had the door to our cabin open and he almost ran in there......probably wouldn't have been a good idea. He sure was cute.

Missing the cool weather

We just got back from Greer where I had to wear 2 sweatshirts, long pants & i kept my shoes on to keep warm. Waddell on the other hand is HOT, HOT, HOT!!!!!!! It rained every afternoon and even though the Wallow fire went through there, it seemed to be hit and miss, the forest was beautiful. Hope you are well. Happy crafting.

Merry-Go-Round

Courtney sent me this picture of our little man on his 1st merry-go-round from her cell phone. I was pretty impressed at how clear it turned out. I sure miss this little guy. I used a template from Tiffany Keetch which was a freebie. Thanks Tiffany.

Heading to Az

I bought this kit from JessicaSprague.com awhile ago and never got around to playing with it. My little grandson went home to Texas a few weeks ago and decided he wanted to come back to visit so he loaded up his puppy and headed for the door. He wanted to see the cows, the puppies , his cousins and his Boppa. Miss the little guy. Hope you are having a great day.

Another Fruit Display

My daughter(Brandy) and I made another fruit display for some good friends daughter's wedding. Brandy took these pictures, the blue flowers in the top were the bouquet that the bride threw. We normally just do this for close friends or church functions but a lady approached us asking if we would consider making one for her. She is celebrating her 70th birthday in October......we are going to do it for her birthday for her and hope she enjoys it.

Love the added touch

DH gave me flowers for Mother's Day, he decided the flowers he gave me needed a pick me up so he went to the garden & picked 3 onions that went to seed and added them to my bouquet. I love the added touch. They do not smell like onions either and really are beautiful. My DD said when she gets married we need to plant some onions in time for them to go to seed so she can make her bridal bouquet out of them.
Here is a close up of one of the onion tops that went to seed. Pretty huh!
Wanted to show you what I did for my neighbors 46th birthday. She drives a tractor on golf courses and likes to suck on suckers so I thought this was a great gift plus it was fun giving her a little poke for growing older. In case you can't read it it says "46 Sucks". She is still younger than me so I didn't want to gouge her too much. LOL Hope your day is prosperous & happy!
