Wednesday's cards

Just a quick post to show Wednesday's cards. The 1st card was made a shoebox from Vickie....our newbie to stamping. She used a SU! retired set. Cute card Vickie. Thanks!

Sam came up with this green & white card. She used a TAC stamp set and her card was actually cuter because she stamped it correctly. I on the other hand wasn't paying attention to detail so I stamped the whole sentiment on the outside. Sam put little dots after A road to a friends house.... on the inside she stamped the rest of the sentiment. Oh well, I can still just a little note inside. Thank you Sam for your creativity!

Carolyn cased this card but put her own twist on it. She saw her inspiration in the latest Paper Craft Magazine. I love the oranges, It looks better in real life. The sentiment was made using a computer. Love it Carolyn!

Last but not least, Sam also surprised us with this adorable water bottle & lemonade packet. We each received one at our place setting. I absolutely love this darling idea. I am lucky to have these wonderful friends to spend my Wednesday's with.

I do want to mention that Marie, although she didn't come up with a card she did come up with a very yummy soup that was delicious. She made a big pot of Italian sausage, Kale and potato soup. Man was it good....second helping good. Sam made a very tasty salad with strawberries, grapes, cherries, chicken, apples and walnuts in it. I ended up making the salad for dinner last night.....soup is coming up tonight! Next week I believe we are going to have Laura back, now that school is out! Can't wait! Til then have sun at whatever you do.

Two pages using same template

I love this template by Chrissyw . For the 1st page I used Bedtime doodle bugs by Melany Violette at SimplyClean Digiscraps. The bugs go right along with my DGS's personality. The 2ND page is with Castoffs01 by Anna Benjamin at Paper Moon. The bright colors are so springy & fresh to me and they remind me of my DGD.

Sorry no cards today, I am working on a project though & I promise to post it when I finish. Thanks for stopping by.

Not much today

We didn't stamp this week....too many conflicts. I did make a graduation card for a neighbor girl who is graduating from high school. It seems like yesterday she was just starting 1st grade....does that age me? I had to lighten the picture so you could see the top part of the card. I tried to make it look like a graduation cap. I uses the cuttlebug dot folder on the "top" part of the hat. The colors are orange & black. Inside the card I cut her mascot, which is a scorpion, out with the square mega scallop punch & matted it on orange. I them cut a black square using the giga & glued just the outside edges to form a pocket to hold her $.

This is a page I did this morning using a kit I received free. Thank you, Christy Skaggs,
for such a darling kit. Hope to be more creative next week! til then smile!

Friday Flash

Just a quick post to show you all what we did on Wednesday. First , I thought I would throw in a page I made of my grandkids a few years ago.

This is a shoebox card that Carolyn came up with. I just love this card. She found the pattern in a 2006 Papercraft magazine, the flowers are from Mike's in the bridal dept. Not sure what stamp the sentiment is. paper is SU! DS paper Groovy Guava.

Folded and with the paper band, I added stickles to some of the dots to give it a little shine. Carolyn used a floral double sided sheet of this DS group and she put stickles on just a few flowers. Her's was just gorgeous. Thanks Carolyn. JoAnne made a yummy Italian Sausage soup for lunch for Carolyn's birthday(which happens to be tomorrow). Happy Birthday Carolyn!!!!

I made the same card using the SU! DS Summer Picnic paper. Today is my DD's 10th wedding anniversary so I made this for them.

I just had to show you the Sunflower Bowl Jenn at just4funcrafts made using a quilling kit she sells. She makes it seem so easy and in person this is just beautiful. She sprayed it with a glitter spray that just makes it pop. That is all for this week.....hope you have a great week....

Weekly post

It seems as though this is getting to be a weekly post rather than a daily post. Oh well, I am trying to post more than one thing so maybe that helps! This first card is a card I came up with last week that i didn't end up posting....not sure why. I used the cricut to cut the flower background. The circle is cut using my creative memory circle cutter on a folded piece of cardstock. Stamp set is SU Taggers Dozen punched out with the 2 SU oval punches, hodgepodge from SU was used as well as their ribbon. Flowers, waxy flax and brads are from Just4funcrafts.com. I cuttlebugged the yellow with the dots folder.

These little cards are Stampendous mini cards from Just4funcrafts, Red cardstock(SU) is cuttlebugged with dots folder(I love that folder). Ribbon(SU), Stamps are SU! Tart & tangy-mini catty and a retired mini border from SU.

My sweet friend Laura sent this adorable card to me....not sure who the stamps are by but I think they are darling! Thanks Laura.

Carolyn came up with this card for our Wednesday stamp day. She received the stamp set from another friend Alyce, the leaves are sizzix. dots cuttlebug, stickles for the centers, Happy birthday is computer generated. Love this card! Thanks Carolyn.

Marie shoe boxed this flamingo card. I think it is darling too. I used the Pinkalicious sentiment. The stamp set is a TAC set that Sam sells in our group. The flip flops have BLING on them.....too cute. Thanks Marie.

Last but not least is my digi page from a challenge from Jessica Sprague. All supplies by Jessica Sprague....one of the many benefits for taking her classes....Lots of Freebies. Her latest Up & Running class is already full. She is in great demand because of her wonderful instructions & easy to understand videos. Can't wait for her Now We're Rocking class in June! Thanks Jessica.

I've been "grounded"

To say the least......I have been grounded from uploading or downloading anything on the Internet. I live in an area where I have dial up or satellite for my Internet options. I was never informed that I was only allowed to upload & download a certain amount of stuff each month. I must stay at or below 70% of my bandwidth in order to not be grounded. I was informed that i was in violation of the Fair Access Policy. Had I known there was a limit each month for satellite customers I would have gladly stayed within my range and not made a little piggy of myself. So long story short....that's where I have been. I have been watching my numbers and have finally reached a point where I am safe again. OK with that said Here are a few cards & a page I have been working on and/or received this past month. Three of the cards were made on Wednesday at Sam's. The red card is her shoebox. I am sorry i have been out if it so long I forgot to get who makes the stamp. I think it is Sassafrass but not positive. She picked it up at the Stamp convention that was just in Mesa, Az on the 19th. Carolyn made the golf card with a stamp she picked up at Creative Quest in Glendale, Az. It is hard to see but the middle picture is popped up. Thanks Sam & Carolyn! Our next card is from Vickie....I had never tried the masking tape technique before and Vickie who is fairly new to stamping walked us through. She used her new SU! set "Touch of Nature" with Real Rust, Chocolate Chip & white. I love how the making tape makes it look like bark or woody. Great card Vickie. One of our stamping buds...Laura went back to work so doesn't get to stamp with us much anymore but she does still send me cards that are cute as ever. Laura has her mojo always going, I swear. We miss her creativity. She sent me the next two cards, which I love. Thank you for the Thank you cards Laura

The digi page is of my DGD....she is 18 months old and such a hoot. She didn't want to take her Uncle Steve's gag glasses off. She finally pulled the arm off so they wouldn't stay on anymore & then she lost interest. In the meantime we sure had fun with her.

Fun pages

OK first I want to say I didn't make it to the Wednesday stamping group so i figured i should post something so here are 3 pages i have played with. Being a gingerbreadaholic, I fell in love with these cute little Gingerbread Boys.
Gingerbread Lane by Tracy Gilbert Monette of Clever Monkey Graphics. Holiday Memories by C Gibson of Oscraps.com
Paper shapes by katie@designerdigitals.com
I Love this Kit, I knew it would make a cute page for the newlyweds. We are fortunate to have the Easter Bunny come to hide eggs for us every year. A few of the grand kids are scared to death of this big ole love able bunny. I think the adults get more of a kick out of him and the kids reactions to the bunny than the kids get out of the bunny actually coming to see us. Kit is Wild Sorbet by Michelle Coleman of LittleDreamerDesigns.com The brown scalloped paper is by Sandy Kreiger's kit Embrace Life from Memory Makers. We went to the Redwoods in Klamath on our last vacation and I loved this big carving so naturally I had my SIL take a picture of DH and I. I used the same kit as above. I love bright vibrant colors and these definitely fit that category.

I am in the process of making something to post that is not a layout. Hopefully I can get that done over the weekend. Happy stamping, crafting digiscrapping or whatever make you happy!
