I know I am early!!!!
I know, I know! I couldn't help it. My SIL and I both love GBBOYS and we found these darling stamps at ArtGoneWild
so naturally being addicted to them I had to have them, I also bought 2 more that I am going to play with when we get back. I used the new SU! Purely Pomegranate for the card base,Regal rose was ran thru the cuttlebug and used as a mat for the Gbboy and I matted that on creamy caramel. The sentiment is from Darcy stamps. I used SU! Regal Rose ribbon and brads I bought from scrapbookpal.com. The Gbboy has been trimmed in a glitter pen as id the handle & ribbon of the whisk. I used SU! markers to color in the Gbboy.
We are off to Oregon on Saturday, so I will not post anything until we get back.
I read about this website on a cricut messageboard so I thought I would try it out. The link is http://www.fodey.com/generators/newspaper/snippet.asp . Fun site to bookmark for birthdays, weddings you name it. makes a great page for my travel journal I have been working on. Go try it it is really fun! Have a great weekend & week!

3 of the 5
Just thought I would share 3 of my grandkids with you. DH and I went to the 2 oldest grandsons swim meet. The oldest took home 2 bronze metals and 2 more ribbons. The youngest didn't swim, he kept everyone cooled down with the spray bottle...even if they didn't want to cool down. Little stinker.
The second oldest took ribbons home too. He was wet from the hole in his chin. The water just pours right down him. I guess it is his was of keeping cool between his laps. We tell him that his freckles on his nose are where Angels have kissed him. It was fun to watch them swim. They do very well for their ages. Love these little guys to pieces.
Cards
I used the new SU! DS Rose Red paper for this card. The stamp sets are SU! Garden Whimsy and Curvy Verses. I used a 2 way glue pen with dazzling diamonds on the butterfly. I also used the new jewel brads from SU!. Ink is Rose Red also.
I was inspired to make these two cards after seeing the instructions on Meg's Waxy's Whims Blog.
I made the first one & realized the paper is from a mini catty that did not make it into the catty(disappointing), so I made another one using the Creepy Crawly DS paper from the current SU! catty. The stamp set is Batty for You . I punched the circle with the 1 3/8 punch and mounted it on the SU! new scallop punch then glued those to a paper paperclip made from a sizzix die that I picked up at JoAnn's on clearance. It seems lately I have been lethargic when it has come to stamping. I keep starting projects and not finishing them. I am in the middle of making a travel journal to take with me when we go to Oregon next week. I will post that when we get back. With getting out of the heat I just may get re energized to do some tutorials. Oh well enough whining on my part. Happy stamping & crafting to you!
they are a little crooked in the picture....oops. they are square IRL. promise.

Cards from today
These first 2 cards are cased from Paula Goff.
I thought her little ladybug was darling so I copied and shared this with the friends I stamped with today . We used the retired SU! Marigold CS, Black & White. The stamp set is SU! Pick a Petal for the wings and the head & rear are made from punches.
Carolyn cased this card from SCS-babsbkt.
We used the retired SU! Cheesecloth BG stamp and Carolyn also used the cuttlebug swirl for the card base. Some Stickles smeared over the center of the sunflower gave it some pizazz. Thanks Carolyn.
Not sure how much stamping I will be doing the next 2 days.....we have another 24 hours of irrigation starting at 10am so I will be taking care of that until DH gets home from work to take his shift! Hope you all have a great weekend.
Busy Day Yesterday!!!
The grandsons went home last night and even though I thoroughly enjoyed having them, I am pooped!!!! When we were swimming yesterday our dogs kept barking so I finally got out of the pool to investigate to see what was getting them so riled up and lo & behold, one of our cows who we thought would calf in September dropped a little heifer yesterday. We thought we seperated her from the bull before he bred her but I guess not. We really wanted her to be bred by a different bull but guess that didn't happen. Oh well, my grandson Cody wants to name her so she is nameless right now. Hopefully the other four cows that are due to calf will be bred by the right bull and we don't have any other surprises....keep your fingers crossed! I am off to stamp with my Wednesday group, they are so good to me they moved it to Thursday for me so I could play with them. I will post what we do when I get home. Thanks for stopping by!
PS....I forgot to tell you, we own a portion of a cow in Wisconsin who has a very good blood line so her heifer calves are in big demand and she threw a heifer yesterday too.....Yippeeeee!!!!! It was a great day....07/11/07...go figure.
OK>>>>Cody has decided to name her Cupcake. She looks like a cupcake to me. We have had a Buttercup, Milkdud(cuz he couldn't give milk), Butterscotch, Coco, my 2 year old grandson named one Oakmilk, Cupcake seems to fit right into the theme we have going here...LOL

Accordian Gift Card Holder
Allison listed a link to a really cute tutorial so I thought I would try it.
Katheryn was the creator of the tutorial, she has a really cute blog.
I used Daisy D double sided paper, The sentiment and tags are made from SU cardstock, White, Rose Red, Positively Pink and Old Olive. The stamp sets are SU Simply Said and Serene Sunflower. I used a circle , oval and tag punch, prima flowers, various brads and ribbon to embellish with. Fun little project
My DD called me and asked if I could watch her 3 boys until Wednesday night. Her SIL had to fly to Utah to look for housing while her DH is in Law School up there. and didn't want to go alone. I always have fun with my grandsons so naturally I said yes. My DIL called me and explained her dad was hit by a drunk driver and was thrown from his Jeep and is in the hospital and asked if I could watch my other grandson so she could go to the Hospital....Of course I can! She took my 8 month old granddaughter with her so the 4 boys and I have been swimming and watched cartoons, went to swim team practice, played some games & old Grannie is getting pretty pooped out. They are 8, 6, 3 and 2 and have much more energy than I do. They finally calmed down enought for me to get a quick post in.
One other thing, I have a friend Rachele who started like hot cakes on her blog....go check her out http://theinkboutique.blogspot.com/.
Happy stamping.

Ila has tagged me...interestinghttp://artfullyila.blogspot.com/search/label/ATC%27s. I am suppose to tell you 7 things about myself and then tag 7 others who have not been tagged so we can learn something about them that we don't know.
1. My father was born in Saskatchewan, Canada which happens to be where Ila lives now.
2. My husband has given me a small corner of his shop and built me a table to do my stained glass on. I am really excited to get staretd on that again.
3. I am a shopaholic...what can I say, you never know when you may need some small embellishment and it is nice to have stock on hand.
4. My DH and I went and cut a Christmas tree for our honeymoon.....only we went with my SIL & BIL.......so we had to be good!
5. I do not like surprises but love to surprise others.
6. I would rather give than receive, much more fun!
7. It is very hot here in Arizona, so I take our 4 dogs swimming about 4 times a day even though it makes me work harder to keep the pool clean. They love it too.

Brandy's Recipe Box
I finally finished the recipe box for my oldest daughter. She has decorated her kitchen in grapevines, berries & stars so I went with her theme and used SU! Just vine for the grapevine. The berries are made with a new pencil eraser. The stars and hearts were cut using a Sizzix die. One the card dividers i used SU" Stars & Swirls and the star from SU! Teeny Tiny which retired a couple of years ago. I used SU! Inks, Barogue Burgandy, Cranberry Crisp, and More Mustard. She can finally take it home and fill it with yummy recipes like the wonderful Molten Chocolate Cake she makes. She found it in the Winter 2005 Kraftfood and Family Magazine. Prep time is 15 min/Total 29 min. Recipe as follows:
4 squares Baker's Semi-Sweet Baking Chocolate
1/2 c butter
1 cup powdered sugar
2 eggs
2 egg yolks
6 Tbsp flour
1/2 cup CoolWhip Whipped Topping, thawed
Preheat oven to 425 degrees, Butter 4 (3/4cup) custard cups or souffle dishes. Place on baking sheet.
Microwave chocolate and 1/2 cup butter in lg microwaveable bowl on high 1 minute or until the butter is melted. Stir with wire whisk until chocolate is completely melted. Stir in sugar until well blended. Whisk in eggs and egg yolks. Stir in flour. Divide batter between the 4 prepared custard cups.
Bake 13 to 14 minutes or until sides are firm but centers are soft. Let stand 1 minute. Carefully run a small knife around the cakes to loosen. Invert cakes onto dessert dishes. Top with 1 Tbsp of whipped topping and serve immediately.
Makes 8 servings, 1/2 molten cake each You can even make the batter a day ahead. Pour into prepared custard cups, cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate. Bake as directed.
The wonderful thing about these is the next day the leftovers taste like a yummy gooey brownie. Makes my stomach growl just thinking of them.......and I wonder why my rear is getting out of control! LOL

Family Blessings
I just had to show you Stephen, my DD boyfriend. We all get together every Sunday for dinner and last Sunday, Stephen said he would really like to make dinner for everyone. So I agreed.....geez who wouldn't! LOL. Stephen came over before church to get the pot roast going. In Arizona we try to keep the house cool so everything was thrown into the roaster and plugged in out on the bar outside. He was dressed for church already and I was afraid he might get something on his clothes so I asked if he wanted to wear an apron, he replied "sure" so my DD had to take a picture of him. Did you notice he is wearing Gingerbread????? A man after my own heart!!!!
The tag on the right side slips out of the diagonal piece of cardstock. I glued just the two corners so I could just slide the tag in and put pics on both sides. The next picture shows the back side of the tag when it is slipped out.
This has a file folder slipped into another variation of the page before. The gingham cardstock is only glued at the top & bottom allowing the file folder to be slipped in & out.
I made an album for my family pictures using a Maya Road chipboard album. There were 4 more pages that went in the book but I added so many embellishments I couldn't use them. I wouldn't have been able to close it once I got all my pictures in it. No harm though, I am going to use those to make a second one using rings.
The paper is a packet I picked up at just4funcrafts. The paper K&Co. I love pinks and greens together so this packet just grabbed me. Every page has some sort of interaction going on. I put tags, pockets, file folders double slots for 2 tags on some pages and lots of nailheads. I carried the same nailheads through out the book. They are antique brass, and I set them using my Homeprotool that I got from Jenn at just4fun. She is such an enabler, I swear she twists my arm!!!!! LOL

Sizzix die cut. I cut two from cardstock & one from a thin chipboard & then glued them together to give some stability, next i used the mega oval scallop punch to make a top for the clip. I cut a second scallop and sandwiched the clip between the 2 ovals.

A little hard to see in this picture but the tags come out of a little envelope on the left side & the right hand side has a file folder that opens. Hope you enjoyed it. Thanks for visiting. I do have another post but I have to wait to give the present to a friend before I post. I don't want to give her any clues! Off to help make a salad.
