Wednesday's cards

Here is another card made with the eP exclusive Hey There Cupcake stamp. I put micro beads on the frosting a a dot of red stickles for the cherry. The stem is made from a small piece of waxy flax. Background ds paper is SU!Ginger Blossom and the Close to Cocoa paper was embossed with the cuttlebug swirl folder.

This cute cupcake is from Sam's set that she picked up from Cornish Hertiage Farms...I always want to say cornish game hen
Again swirl background, Ds paper was some Sam picked up...not sure who it is by.

We made an impromptu card using the SU Simply Said stamp set & the Kindness jumbo wheel.

I took advantage of a sale SU! had where these little pocket cards were included. They do not come in Pink anymore but they are still being sold on pg 167 of the new catty. They come with the envelopes and the colors are Confetti White, Taken with Teal and Real Red. The stamp set used was Fun and Fast Notes. They did go very fast & were fun. OK Dinner is done & now I am off to chow down....til next time-Happy Stamping!

Cupcakes Galore

I received my new "Hey There Cupcake" from eP and received a mission to make a card & post it to their gallery. I have to wait to upload it since I just registered there today. This is what I came up with. The back side of the insert has a CC slot. The top of the cupcake is popped up and has dazzling diamonds on it. I know it is hard to see. Yesterday our little group stamped & I will try to get those cards uploaded here. More cupcakes. Just a quick post right now....I am off to fix dinner.

Small Heart Tins

I had a few minutes to play so I went ahead and covered a small white heart tin . I used SU! Ginger Blossom DP around the bottom. The flowers are the large flower from the hostess set Cause for Celebration then I punched out the flowers with the spring flower bouquet punch. I stamped the butterfly from Cause for Celebrations & cut it out, added a little dazzling diamonds & used pop ups to place them on the lid. Thanks for stopping by!

Wednesday's Cards & GOODIES!

Look what came in yesterday!!! Just4funcrafts received their shipment and I snatched up a bunch. I cant wait to play with them. I will post them as soon as I get some done.

Speaking of Just4fun, I know Christmas is over but I just had to show you a card I received from Jenn at just4funcrafts , I haven't seen Jenn since before Christmas so I picked this up yesterday and all I can say is WOW,WOW, WOW! These pictures do not do this justice. This card is off the charts. The trees are covered with snow and there are twigs coming up out of the ground, The snowman and snow are 3 dimensional, his nose is a toothpick and there is even snow on the hardware. I really wish I had better pictures of this so you could see how amazing it is. I am so lucky to be in Jenn's circle of friends, she is talented. Thank you Jennifer Dove!

Sam surprised us all with this little Valentine treat. It looks like it measures 7 1/2 by 2 3/4, scored at 1 1/2 and 5 inches. The slit made from the word window punch is about 1/2 inch down. Sam also used 2 different cuttlebug folders. On the flap she used swirls and on the last 2 1/2 inches she used the heart folder. I will definitely have to make some of these for the grand kids. Thanks a million Sam!

This is the card I came up with. I wanted to use my scor-pal so we made a gate card. The cs is Ruby Red with Ginger Blossom DP. The mouse stamp is from SU! Valentine special stamp set Happy Heart Day. I used Sahara Sand cs for the matting. Quick and fun card to make.

Carolyn found this card to case....I believe in the gallery on SCS. We changed it up just a tad by using the cuttlebug swirl background and the love for SU! Wonderful Words. The cs is Pomegranate and Chocolate Chip. These colors look wonderful together in person. The 3 pomegranate hearts are popped up with dimensional. Great find Carolyn. If this is your card please let me know so I can give you credit.

Today Marie came up with a card that she cased from SCS I am sure. Not sure who the originator of the card is but it is a wonderful card. Thanks you if it is you. please leave a comment if it is you so i can give credit where credit is due. We used all SU! products. The paper is True Thyme and Always Artichoke cs. Su Ribbon, sm & lg oval punches. The sentiment is from Short & Sweet and Oh So Lovely stamp sets. Thanks Marie, Love this card.

More cards

This is my version of the pixie pocket. I saw a link on Allison's blog under tutorials which took me to Sandi's blog and from Sandi's blog took me to the challenge on SCS where I found the pixie pocket gallery. There are several darling pixie pockets on the SCS gallery, go check them out. The sentiment is from a SU! Hostess stamp "For a Friend" and the little sentiment I believe was in a Michael's 2 for $1 stamp set from last years collection.

This is a terrible picture but no matter how many times I tried I came out cruddy so I gave up & hope you get the general idea.
The instructions are here.

Just a thank you card using the new border punch I picked up at JoAnn's. Not sure if i like this card or not.

I started this card a Sam's a couple of weeks ago and never finished it until now. Seems i have a bad habit of starting cards & never finishing them so I am trying to be better at not doing that anymore. The ladybug is from SU! Whimsy. It is hard to see but I used the cuttlebug to texture the top & bottom of the card. You may be able to see it better if you click on the card to enlarge it.
I will post the goodies we make tomorrow. Happy Day!

Embrace Life

I think I am stuck in a rut with these colors. I just received my SU! Embrace life stamp set and made these three cards. I used Rose Red, Old Olive and Pretty in Pink cs. I colored the stamps with markers, filled in the petals and then went back and shaded with a blender pen. Then I cut around part of the flowers with an exacto knife so my sentiment would slip under the blossoms. My friend Jenn's (just4funcrafts.com)gramdma passed away yesterday so I made her a 6 x 6 sympathy card. It is hard to see but I dry embossed using the technique Debbie showed on her blog. In person it looks great but it is a little hard to see here. Click on the picture and you may get a better view.

I used crystal effects on the flower here which makes it look nice in person. Oh well, I need to go cut cs for the group's play day tomorrow. Have a terriffic Tuesday!

Busy Week

Wednesday We all met at Sam's house to stamp. Sam cased a card from Cambria's blog, and this is what our card turned out like. Thanks Cambria for the inspiration. I just love this set. Guess it will be on my next order...LOL.

This is another card that Sam came up with. The nice thing about this card is it doesn't open, instead the solid tan cardstock slips out from under the flowered paper that the sentiment is on to reveal the message.

I ended up taking it one step further & made it so not only does it have a sentiment but on the flip side I punched some slits to hold a gift card. The supplies on my card are all SU!. The Cardstock is Regal Rose and Lovely Lilac. The DP I used is Flowers for You, Punches are Round tab, 3/4" circle, slit and rectangle scallop punches(not SU). Stamp set for sentiment is Curvy Verses

We took a little trip to the snow on Saturday. It is nice to be able to go play in the snow but not live where it snows. At least for me....you see I am a true whimp when it comes to the cold. This is DH with our DGD.

The hill we went to is called Oak Hill, Just west of Flagstaff, Az.

Here we have the Glamor girls....LOL, DDIL and DD'S.

DS & Wife & DD & Husband decided to come down the hill together....DD & her Hubby hit a bump and flew into the air & never made it down the hill, DS and wife went the distance.

Here is Oldest DGS lounging on the tube. He decided to kick back for a bit.

DGD watching her Boppa get stuff ready to grill the hamburgers & hot dogs.

DSIL scoping out the hill. He had a blast I do believe. Nice he could enjoy a little R&R away from his daily USAF life.

2nd oldest and I might say fearless DGS. He would go all the way to the top of the hill and fly down the hill. I think he may have an enegrizer battery somewhere in his little body. He made me tired watching him.

These two are cousins and the teo youngest DGS's. They were displaying the snowman their Mom & Aunt made. Much smaller snowman than the ones their dad & uncle made but it was "R" rated female so we won't post her picture here.

DSIL came down and hit this hill and CRASHED hard enough he ended up in the emergency room all night with a swollen side. The DR. decided to xray his side to make sure there was no bleeding anywhere internally. That was the last time he came down the hill. My other DSIL also hit the same spot and they both just layed there for a minute...little scary but both turned out to be OK. Thanks Goodness!

DDIL and DGD all bundled up.

Last but not least DS getting ready to hit the hill.

Have a great week and maybe I will be able to get another post or two in. Hope you have a super week!

Gift card holders

I am hooked on these darn gift card holders. This is one I made for our stamping group to make yesterday. I cut my cardstock at 8 1/2 x 4 1/2, scored it at 2 and 5 1/2. I punched slits in the smaller flap to hold the gift card and decorated. They go really quick and can be used for any occasion.

Here is a simple one I made to hold a babies-r-us gift card. I used the coluzzle circle to cut the slit to hold the flap down and on this one I glued the sides so the card slipped into the pocket.
Hope you have a great weekend!
