Cards & Gifts

The beautiful cards keep coming in and they are all wonderful. I just had to show you how talented my sweet friends are. Each card is is so much prettier in person, I wish they showed the sparkle and dimension in the pictures. Thank you all for the beautiful cards. Sam made the 1st card. She knows me too well..the envelope was fabric with little gingerbread people on it too....adorable.

Carolyn's card is one I would have cased for our stamp group.....guess since she stamps with me I can't though.

Laura who went back to work and isn't able to stamp with us much anymore made this 1st snowflake card and Marie who does stamp with us had close to the same idea as Laura, both great cards.

Cathy sent this one....I am going to have to get hold of her for this one. It is simple but stunning.
Thank you all for the lovely cards.

I made this little purse with the cricut for my DGD. It has goodies inside and she loves purses & shoes so just right for her!

Laura showed us how to make these bells with a 6x6 piece of paper that you fold to form a bell. I took it one step further to make it into a little Christmas tree with Martha's branch punch.

Wednesday, JoAnne came up with this adorable card with Santa's suit. The white had flock & dazzling diamonds on it with thick gold embossing powder for the outline. We made a wire hanger for his coat. Thanks JoAnne.

Carolyn came up with this card last week & I lost it in my stamp room(What a mess it was & still is) The trees are embossed and the middle tree is cut out & popped up. We backed it on gold metallic paper which made it pop. So much prettier IRL.

Thus was our impromptu card on Wednesday, it was fun to just go crazy with out any guidance. I wish I would have backed each tree in solid CS but hind sight is 20/20.

This is a side view of the trifold cricut box I made into Santa boxes for my DGSon's. They each hold a little treat and were so much fun to make & easy too. I used the paisley nestabilities for the hat, the snowflakes that make up his beard & the fur on the hat were made using paper I ran thru the xyron & then sprinkled with dazzling diamonds. I then punched out the snowflakes & man do they sparkle. His face is SU! Blush Blossom paper punched with the mega scalloped circle punch. Eyes are 1/4 inch SU! circle punch & I sponged Rose Red cheeks on him.

His moustache is from the SU! long big shot die I purchased from SU! I cut the curls off, glued them down & free handed his little nose.

This amazing little container was hand painted by Jenn at just4funcrafts.com. She sprayed the tin with a matte spray to take the sheen off & then painted the tree & gingerbread kids climbing up the tree & peeking out from behind the tree. Inside she put battery operated lights that flash or stay solid. The poinsettia flowers on the top is a new line she is going to carry in her store along with the tins....(shhh...use save5 for a 5% discount) I LOVE this tin...it is too stinkin adorable. Thank you Miss Dove!

Love all the ribbon too. What great friends I have. Hope you all have a Merry Christmas!

Fun with Cookies

Yesterday my 5 grand kids came over & we decorated Gingerbread houses. I bought 3 house kits this year instead of making them from scratch. I was really surprised that more candy made it onto the houses than into their stomach's. They did an awesome job & it was fun. They left me a house & each family took one home.
This is what I have been up too. I made 33 bags and toppers for the 66 dozen cookies that my DIL & I made. We then delivered them to clients of a friend

The bags were from PaperTreyInk, I used SU! Top Note dies for the toppers, cuttlebugged them with snowflakes, punched out snowflakes from paper I ran thru the zyron & put dazzling diamonds on. Made the tags with Photoshop & then punched then out with scallop punches. I bought some wired garland & cut lengths of it to spiral around the bow & added snowflake ornaments. They are filled with 2 dozen cookies & various candies.
A card post is on the way along with some digi pages. Hope you are having a very Merry Christmas season.

I was grounded again

Sorry I have been gone so long but I was grounded from uploading.....I was too close to violating the Fair Access Policy again so I self imposed my grounding to keep me from getting in trouble. Anyway I am still close but I feel I can breathe a little now.

Here are two pages I made for my CT at Bouquetofpixels.com I used Helly's kits Titled "Dear Santa" I used pictures of my DGC for both layouts.

I made this card using SU!'s rub ons & on the inside I stamped brown snowflakes. The brads & ribbon I picked up at just4funcrafts.com (used save5% for a 5% discount).

I made this card so long ago & I cased someone who I was sure I wouldn't forget but when I went to look at the page I printed there was no credits as to who I cased so if it is you please comment so I can edit this to add you.....sorry about that. This picture is blurry too but out of 4 pictures it was the best.

Here are some gingerbread boy cards I made with a template I cut out using a wooden gingerbread boy off of my Christmas Tree. I took this card for our stamping group to make. Don't know why but I love these little guys.

This is my Christmas card from Vickie, she told me she cased the idea from here. Thanks Vickie....my 1st Christmas card this year & it is handmade. Love it.

This is the inside of the card....the picture quality is terrible. Goes to show you you shouldn't take pictures at 5 int he morning in a room with poor lighting. LOL I used a Whippersnapper stamp I picked up last year .

The front of the card has lots of SU! Dazzling Diamonds on it (just like the inside) The snowflakes & the pink frame are loaded with diamonds. The girls want to make this next time we stamp but the diamonds will have to be applied at our own homes cuz Sam's DH Will doesn't want to go to his manly job full of glitter. LOL I don't know why he doesn't want to sparkle at work....do you?

This is our shoebox card that Vickie came up with. I think it is adorable and she came up with the idea from my blog header which cracked me up. Thanks Vickie...now why didn't I think of that?

I wanted to post the card that Carolyn brought for us to make but I didn't get a picture of it for some reason so I will post it next time.
OK and I have to share with you my DD who's DH just got stationed at Lackland AFB for the next 4 years has called to tell me she is having a baby in August.......I am really excited for my 6th grand baby but they are too far away......guess I will be visiting San Antonio, Texas quite a lot in the next 4 years.
I hope to post more before Christmas but in case I don't make it....Merry Christmas to All!

Christmas Wishes

I love this kit by Kathy Goldstein. It is titles Christmas wishes & right now it is 25% off. The 1st page was taken a few years ago at my friend Mrs. Brown's house. They set up this fantastic display & have Santa at their home on Saturday night's from the 1st Saturday after Thanksgiving until Christmas Eve. Tate & mommy were in line to sit on Santa's lap in his real life size sleigh.

I love the picture of my oldest DD's family. This was taken on this huge rock we have in our backyard....it was known as Cody's rock for the longest time.

I have some more cards but thought I would wait until after tomorrow to post them since I will have even more since tomorrow we are stamping! Til then....happy crafting.

Finally cards!

I haven't seen my stamping friend Cathy for it seems FOREVER so we decided to get together & stamp one day. She is also a SU! demo & she had some other sidelines & her downline there to play too. This card was one of the two projects we did which I love. I didn't take a pic of the other cuz I forgot about it until I started typing this......I will post it soon though. Cathy had us use a SU! Kraft envelope which we folded for this card. She used the SU! Big Shot die to cut the scallops for the envelope flap. All products are SU! that went into this card. I ended up adding the peace stamp & paper to the opened envelope part after I came home. The pull out card we left blank to put whatever we wanted so I decided to all the scallop square stamp & punch to it. Fun card Cathy....now I need to order some of these cute little envelopes ( believe it or not..........Sue Ann doesn't have these envelopes yet. Lordy, Lordy there is at least 1 thing in the catty that Sue Ann doesn't have. I guess by now she does though...LOL we love you Sue Ann)

I used Pearl ex and versamark for the background and then added some stickles to make it shine a little more. I then punch out the white snowflakes using shimmering white SU! cardstock, adding stickles to those too.

This card was inspired by Donna Mundinger at Popsicle Toes.
Her stuff is amazing...go check her out. Sam sent me her link. I used SU! DS paper Holiday Treasures for the background, the SU! Top Note Bigz Die, Martha Stewart punch with various shades of green paper & cs for the tree. I also used the Gingerbread cut outs that my good friend Jenn cut out for me.(She knows I love gingerbread).
Thank you Jenn!!!! Sam & Donna to for the inspiration.
I wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving!!!!

All That Jazz

I love the bright colors in the new kit, All That Jazz, I picked up at Bouquet of Pixels. The picture of my little niece just screamed for me to get that kit. I love bright colored kits. Both pages were made with the same kit.
We are having a going away party this weekend for my DD & her DH. They just celebrated their 1 year anniversary & her DH went and bought her another ring to compliment her wedding ring. WOW she sure does sparkle now. He told her it is a combined Anniv & Christmas gift. He cracks me up because he has such a hard time trying to keep secrets from her. He couldn't stand it & gave it to her early.
I do have some cards to post, I just need to get off my lazy rear & upload them....soon.
Have a great weekend.

Goodies----

I couldn't resist making a Thinking of you box for a friend. I used the template I designed for the Halloween boxes and decorated it with the digi kit After the Summer which was designed by Serene by RW. You can see the kit here. I filled it with sizzle paper & Reese's mini p-nut butter cups. Yummy, one of my MANY chocolate favorites. We stamped last week but I was so wrapped up in other things i haven't posted the fabulous cards & goodies yet.

Carolyn came up with this amazing Christmas card. It is so beautiful in person....I wish pictures showed the true beauty. Jo Anne bought a stamp at the convention that came to town a few weeks ago & Carolyn borrowed it to make this card for us to create. We embossed the SU! Night of Navy ink with Transcendence from TAC & used stickles on the stars. It just sparkles.

Sam created this gorgeous card using Pearl-Ex and versamark. WOW does it ever POP in person. It is so pretty IRL.

Vickie spotted this turkey , I think from SCS and we played around with it. There is a peppermint patty in the middle. Fast & fun to make. The gals were over the top last week. We won't be stamping until after Thanksgiving so I am sure we will be doing more Christmas cards. Thanks for taking a peek. Hope your imagination flows!

Life in the Country

I am really excited at the fact that we have a possibility of 11 new calves being born this coming Jan/Feb. Last year was not a very successful year. Half of our calves were stillborn. We think the bull was too big and the calves were too large for our cows. The bull we used this year is smaller. My husband nicknamed him Shorty and there were plenty of jokes made about him. He did the trick though so hopefully this will be a better year to come. I used the same kit on this layout, After the Summer made by Serene by RW at BouquetofPixels. I love the rich colors in this kit. Thanks for looking.

Exciting News

I was asked to join a CT for a new store getting ready to launch in December. I was honored to receive this invitation. The store is Bouquet of Pixels. If you are wanting to take a shot at joining a CT here is an application.
This is my first layout using After the Summer by Serene by RW . These are my DD's. My youngest DD is getting ready to move to Texas with her hubby who is in the Air Force. She has never lived anywhere but AZ so this will be a new adventure. I just hope she doesn't get homesick. I know I will sure miss her but at least Texas isn't so far away I can't visit. What makes me sad is my grand babies will be so far away when they are born. Thanks for looking.

Back in the saddle

Sam challenged us to come up with a card with this tree template. This is my version. I used SU! DS paper, cardstock and a level 2 hostess set. The flowers are from the bridal section at Michael's. The sentiment around the package says "a little something".

Marie gave us this card idea, I love how this card turned out. Pictures never seem to do the cards justice for some reason. Thanks Marie, great card.

Miss Vickie found this card (I think on SCS) but not sure. Wish I knew so we could credit the originator. I love that fact that Vickie can spot & replicate the cutest dad gum cards. He was so much fun to make. I used stickles on his eyes to make them sparkle. Thanks Vicki for the cute card.

If you digi scrap, Summer Driggs always gives away the best kits. She is so generous & this month the kit she has designed is free too but she is asking for donations to help a baby girl named Breezy and her family battle with cancer. I made this card for Summer because she is truly showing kindness from her heart. Thanks Summer!

Here are 3 more birthday cards I didn't get posted due to the craziness life threw at us this past 2 weeks. Laura sent me the green card which has crystal effects on the flowers, beautiful card Laura, Thank you! Alyce sent me the middle card, love the softness of this card. I love Alyce's style. Thanks Alyce. Marie gave me the pink & black card which is very beautiful in person. Thanks Marie. I am going stamping tomorrow so hopefully I will get back in the swing & post at least once a week again. Til next time.....Happy stamping!
