Meet Coco-no-nuts

Meet our new little bull calf Coco-no-nuts.....Picture isn't that good but at least you can get a glimpse of him. He will soon be a steer.....hence the name ...LOL. I know, sick sense of humor. His mama's name is Coco so he is named after her.

I had to share this picture of my 2nd oldest grandson. He was with his cousin in the play yard & decided it would be funny to put his sweaty little face into the sand they had piled up on the slide. He proudly came to show me the results. Naturally I had to take a picture. He thought he was coming in the house to wash up......sorry bud to the garden hose we went.

I am feeling creative again & had reorganized....or am almost done reorganizing my room so it is more functional. I think that is why I haven't been very creative....I felt closed in. I am almost done and have a few projects up my sleeve. Today in between changing out irrigation I will try to finish the room & make a couple of things. I will post as soon as I get a chance. Good day to you all!

Chili cans with both sides of the paper

I decided to make two cans using the same sheet of paper. The paper is SU! Creepy Crawley. The dots are the reverse side of the striped paper. I also used SU! Party punch stamp set for the cat, recycling the orange punches from another project. The mega scallop punch fits the top of the can nicely and the cat is backed with SU!'s new scallop punch.
Today we stamped at my friend Sam's house. Talk about an off day I couldn't score worth a bean and it seemed like I was working with two left feet. I finally quit in frustration. Geez I think I need to stamp more. I am so out of it from all the craziness going on in real life. I am just going to schedule at least a two hour session with my stamping therapist. I think I spend way too much time reading blogs than I should. I have neglected my blog due to the fact there are way too many interesting things going on at other sites. Oh well I hope my session with the therapist helps....LOL.

Halloween Tin

I bought these tins from just4funcrafts a while ago and have 3 of them started but I didn't really care for how they were turning out. Then I saw Nichole Heady's tin at capture the moment and she was my inspiration to come up with a Halloween tin. The little boxes of Nerds work perfect in these tins. I used retired SU paper from last year. The sets I used are SU Batty for You and the Batty wheel. The little bat is the little guy on the wheel. I actually had fun with this one. I have been so out of it I felt like I had 2 left hands with my mind thinking I was right handed. DH went to work today so I get to play today......
WHOOHOOOOO!!. Hopefully I can get back in the groove of posting regularly again. Have a wonderful day!

Life is Hectic sometimes

I just love how the new SU! Creepy Crawly DS paper makes a project so simple to make. I just cut the paper the size of the can then cut a strip off of another sheet in the packet to get the wording. I did use the new scallop punch and the spider from Batty for You for the top of the can. I put glue on the lid and them black micro beads with orange stickle dots. The little candy holder has the spider from Booglie Eyes on it.

Can you say S-P-A-G-H-E-T-T-I? This is my DGD after she ate her dinner. Boy did she have fun with it too. It was even in her diaper. I couldn't resist sharing this with you.

Here is my DD with her fiance. The big day is November 3rd of this year....so we are running around with our heads cut off trying to plan this wonderful event.

Here is DH, day 3 after his surgery. Poor guy is a workaholic and he is having cabin fever right now. He hurts enough to not want to do anything much but his drive and ambition are telling him that he needs to do something....Wish I could do more to help him out but only time will help at this point. Hope you are all having fun playing....I am jealous I can't play more but I know my time will come again. Have a great weekend!

Finally able to take some time to post!!!

This is a card I sent in for a bookmark submisson call that obviously didn't make the cut. the corner piece slips off so it can be kept for a bookmark.

I used all SU! supplies to make it, the stamp set is Delight in Life and the paper was from a kit that is now discontinued.

This cute little thank you card is from my SIL. I believe the bee stamp is from Stampendous. She used a cuttlebug embossing folder for the background. Thanks Deb!

On Wednesday I was able to join my friends for a stamp session and Carolyn came up with this cute little Halloween card. On her card she put crystal effects but since it would take too long to dry I decided to use glitter pens to give the pumpkins some sparkle. The background is also from a cuttlebug embossing folder and I am not sure who the stamp is by. Thanks Carolyn for the cute card....one more done for the grand kids!

We had a wonderful time in Oregon. The Mail Boat Ride was a blast. We saw wild turkey's, deer, osprey, otters, a turtle, a baby blue heron that fell out of it's nest but the parents were close by to feel and watch over it. Bald eagles, golden eagles, hornet's nest, swallows still in the nest, a black flash which we were told was a bear but the only bears were saw were these two sleeping on the picnic table. LOL The bear in the white shirt is my BIL and my ole bear is sleeping on the other bench.

This pic is the bend in the river but it looks like the river stops. It was so beautiful up there, we went over rapids that were category 4 and lower. Yes we got wet. My SIL sat in a spot that she was soaked to the bone several time. I can honestly saw my jaws ached from laughing so much.

This doe just laid there unafraid of us as we inched closer & closer. She never did get up.

These black eyed Susan's were at the Roseburg visitors center. They were so brilliant I had to take their picture.

I just loved this carving so naturally I had my SIL take a pic of DH and myself. We were at the Trees of Mystery in Klamath, Ca. There were so many MASSIVE trees there and it was just beautiful,

Here my SIL and I are in front of a tree that is called the Brotherhood tree. Just a lot of fun.
Glad to be back. My posting for the next couple of weeks will be sporadic, DH is going in for surgery on Tuesday the 7th and then will be off for at least 2 weeks. Oh and my youngest daughter informed me that She and Steven are getting married on November 3rd at our home ....3months away so I will be crazy I am sure planning for a wedding. Steven believes he will be deployed to Iraq or Afghanistan so they want to get married before he has to go.....Soooo you will have to bear with me as we embark on that journey.
